Messages of support from PCS, EIS and UCATT unions.

Please see messages of support for Unite and RMT woodgroup members from sister unions in Scotland.

Please pass on the solidarity of PCS Scotland to RMT and Unite off-shore members taking industrial action tomorrow.
Strike is always the last resort. Pay cuts of up to 30% of basic pay are unacceptable, particularly following large scale job cuts, increasing hours and other erosions to terms and conditions in this crucial sector.
Best wishes,

“On behalf of UCATT Scottish Region we will like to offer our full support to Unite and RMT members who are taking part in industrial action against the Wood Group. These savage cuts that are being imposed are detrimental to workers, their families and local communities across the United Kingdom. UCATT hope there will be a satisfactory outcome for all those concerned.”

 Kind regards

Steven Dillon

Regional Secretary

  1. Solidarity to all RMT and Unite off-shore members being forced to take strike action to stop the cuts within their industry and to defend their pay and conditions. No worker ever takes this decision lightly and you all have the full support of the FBU. Stay strong and united.
